About

We're not building a tool to help you finish tasks. We're building one to help you become someone who does.

The plan was never the hard part. Becoming someone who follows it, day after ordinary day, is.

The problem

Most tools optimize the wrong thing.

A checklist can tell you whether you did something. It can't tell you whether you're becoming the kind of person who does it without being asked. That's a different problem, and most tools were never built to solve it.

Most people don't fail at their goals because they don't want them badly enough. They fail because motivation is unreliable by nature — it shows up strong in week one and quietly disappears by week three, and no amount of wanting it more brings it back on command.

Motivation fades on a schedule you don't control

It's not a personal failing — it's how motivation works for everyone. Relying on it as your only system means your consistency is only as strong as your worst week.

Streak counters reward showing up, not progress

A perfect streak and a genuinely productive week can look identical on a calendar — and a broken streak can end someone's effort entirely, even when the progress underneath was still real.

Generic advice doesn't know your actual week

Most tips are written for an average person's average week. Your Tuesday, your setback, your specific goal — none of that is in a listicle.

Our philosophy

Built to tell the truth, not to maximize how often you open the app.

A lot of software is built to maximize engagement — more notifications, more streaks, more reasons to check in ten times a day. That's a reasonable business strategy for some products. It's the wrong strategy for something meant to help you become a more consistent, capable version of yourself.

We'd rather you check in once a day and trust what you see than check in constantly and see something designed to keep you checking.

So the choices behind UpLift Me lean the other way: fewer, more specific notifications instead of more frequent ones. Honest trend data instead of inflated positivity. Coaching that references what actually happened instead of generic encouragement that would apply to anyone.

How we think about growth

Consistency isn't the goal. It's how identity gets built.

Every time you show up — especially on the day you didn't feel like it — you're not just making progress on a goal. You're gathering evidence about the kind of person you are. Do it enough times and the evidence becomes hard to argue with, even to yourself.

This is why UpLift Me cares more about your pattern than your streak. A single missed day doesn't erase who you're becoming. But it also doesn't build it. What builds it is the pattern that survives your missed days — the ones you show up for anyway, on your own terms.

Real progress doesn't move in a straight line. It looks more like the uneven line below than the smooth one — occasionally backward, generally upward if you zoom out far enough. Most tracking tools are quietly built around the smooth line: a perfect streak, unbroken, or reset to zero the moment it isn't. UpLift Me is built around the uneven one, because that's the one that's actually true.

A comparison of a perfectly straight line versus an uneven but upward-trending line, illustrating that real progress is inconsistent but still moves forward overall.

Mission and vision

Our mission

Help people consistently become the version of themselves they're already trying to be — not through more willpower, but through a system honest enough to trust.

Our vision

A future where progress tools measure who you're becoming, not just what you checked off — and where staying consistent doesn't require pretending every day went well.

Our principles

What guides the decisions behind UpLift Me.

Evidence over hype

Every coaching decision is grounded in what your actual data shows, not a generic tip that sounds motivational.

Honesty over vanity metrics

A number that makes you feel good but isn't true isn't useful. We'd rather show you something real.

Long-term over quick wins

UpLift Me is built for goals that take months, not app-store-review-friendly seven-day challenges.

Your data serves you

What you log exists to help you understand your own patterns — not to be optimized for engagement metrics.

Technology in service of the person

The AI behind UpLift Me exists to notice things a person would need weeks to spot by hand. You should barely think about it — you should just notice the coaching feels specific.

Built to be outgrown

The goal was never to be the app you check ten times a day. It's to help you become someone who needs us a little less each month.

Who's behind this

Built by someone who needed this to exist.

UpLift Me started as a personal answer to a personal problem — the gap between the plans we make and the follow-through we struggle to sustain. The people building it are still early, still building in the open, and still figuring out which parts of this matter most.
